Our ethos
At Levi Alternative Provision, our ethos is that every young person deserves a second chance. Everyone deserves the opportunity to turn over a new leaf especially young people going through the transition from puberty into adulthood, a time when they are most likely to make mistakes, the wrong decisions, become side tracked, succumb to peer pressure, or led astray.
Our aims and objectives
Our outreach mentoring programmes are individually tailored to support each young person’s specific needs. Our programmes are aimed at building confidence and self-esteem to enable young people to make positive choices. We understand many of the challenges and difficulties faced by young people and aim to motivate stimulate and encourage them in the pursuance of their goals.
Our staff
Our staff team consists of experienced male and female professionals who have a wide experience and in-depth knowledge of working with vulnerable young people with challenging behaviour.
We possess the necessary skills and expertise to support and empower young people and to enable them to strive to meet their full potential.
Gang Exit Outreach Mentoring Functions
Gang outreach mentoring is one of the most important support and guidance for children and young people. Our aim is to support the individual with taking back control of their own lives. Ensure risky situations are minimised, managed and maintained until such time that the individual feel safe, comfortable and in control.
Emotional and practical support/Risk management
- Providing emotional and practical support as required as part of a trusting relationship.
- Enabling and empowering the child/young person and their family to make the correct decision and choices.
- Risk assessment/management.
Coordination
- Being a regular single point of call and being a consistent contact for the child persons, young and their families.
- Liaising with various multi-agency and professional organisations.
- Coordinating and organising services and practitioners around the child, young person and their families.

- Providing information and signposting where necessary.
Levi Alternative Provision outreach mentoring service will offer:
- Conflict Resolution: We explore positive avenues for two or more willing participants or parties to find a peaceful solution to a disagreement, conflict or feud among them. Enabling them to negotiate to resolve the disagreement.
- Personal hygiene: Providing relevant information for young people and provide them with the appropriate recourses to enable them to manage their own personal hygiene independently.
- Communication: Enabling young people to communicate and express themselves effectively, whether this is verbally or in writing. Teaching them the importance of common curtsey and understanding the meaning of different forms of body languages.
- Timekeeping: Teaching young people the importance of time keeping and how to manage their own schedule. Enabling them with the ability to be able to calculate the estimated time to a destination.
